Research and development

Due to the aging of the world population, and Israel's population in particular, and the consequent rise in aging-related diseases, there is a vital need to promote the study of aging and aging-related diseases as a means to improve the healthy life expectancy of the elderly population. The research and development branch of the "Shmuel Harofe" geriatric hospital advances research and development to diagnose, treat and prevent aging-related diseases and promote healthy longevity, within the hospital and in the community, and fosters cooperation in the field in Israel and internationally.
